On The Corner Manila was established in 2014 by Jefrey Jacob – what started out as way to expand his music collection ended up becoming a platform he uses to share it with others. On The Corner Manila’s meticulously-curated selection of titles, encompassing genres like Indie, Jazz, Funk, and Soul (among many others), can be attributed to Jacob’s very own eclectic taste in music – something he’s honed ever since his days of collecting and trading cassette tapes and compact discs in high school.
As someone who finds the beauty in the physical nature of records as well as having a space where like-minded music lovers can crate dig and flip through records to their heart’s content, Jacob sought out to give On The Corner Manila a physical presence – this came to fruition in 2018, when he moved his selection into Spindlehole Community Store, a brick-and-mortar music outlet in Makati City.
Today, as the renewed interest and demand in vinyl records steadily increases, On The Corner Manila’s catalogue continues to grow – bringing your love for music even closer to home.
